In his fall sport, Chuck Scanlon's team usually is expected to win early, win late, win often. In his winter sport, expectations need to be tempered. Scanlon has coached Apple Valley's boys soccer team to seven state championships. The Eagles have made the state tournament the last three years.

Karly Krantz came close to finishing the night with a quadruple-double. Well, close in relative terms, after finishing with 19 points, seven rebounds, seven steals and six assists, as the Lady Eagles defeated Faith 47-18, Nov. 26. Julie Nelson finished with 12 points and nine rebounds and Mande Driggers had eight points, nine rebounds and seven steals.
